AEROSMITH ZNMH142 Zinc Nail-In Anchor 1/4 in. x 2 in. Mushroom Head

The Aerosmith Zinc Nail-In Anchor is a light-duty, tamper-proof mechanical anchor for fastening fixtures to concrete, brick, block and stone. This 1/4 in. x 2 in. mushroom-head model uses a zinc Zamac alloy anchor body with an AISI 1018 carbon-steel nail. Installation is fast and requires no special setting tool.

Installation

Drill a hole matching the anchor body diameter.
Remove drilling debris and position the fixture.
Tap the anchor into the pre-drilled hole until the body is flush.
Hammer the nail into the anchor body to set the anchor.

Performance Data

Aerosmith publishes ultimate and allowable load data for 1/4 in. Zinc Nail-in Anchors in normal-weight concrete. The published table shows tested embedment depths through 1-1/4 in.; this SKU's product listing specifies a minimum embedment of 1-1/2 in. Allowable values in the manufacturer data use a safety factor of 4.0.

Concrete must meet the stated minimum compressive strength at the time of installation.
Linear interpolation may be used for intermediate concrete compressive strengths.
Do not use Zinc Nail-In Anchors for overhead or life-safety applications.
