TRU-FMK-0020 MAAR 2.75" Cleaver Knife

The MAAR™ 2.75” is the smaller version of the original 3.5” MAAR and was crafted for those who seek the same chopping, cutting, and slicing performance in a mid-size design that is easier to carry while retaining all the swagger of its larger predecessor. Made from durable D2 steel, this knife features a concave shape that pays homage to its namesake: the volcanic maar landform produced by the intense heat and strength of Mother Nature. The D2 steel holds a sharp edge and requires less frequent sharpening while the black oxide coating enhances the corrosion resistance and the stonewash finish provides a matte look that hides scratches and is low maintenance. The modified cleaver blade is designed to excel at cutting, slicing and chopping, yet it has as modified point for piercing that traditional cleavers lack. The 2.75” cutting length works great for common slicing tasks and the belly of the blade has a rocker design allowing it to easily rock and chop. D2 STEEL
Trusted for years as a tool-grade steel due to its high hardness, tough wear-resistance, and corrosion resistance. The high carbon, high-chromium composition helps the MAAR to hold a sharp edge and requires less frequent sharpening than lower-grade steels.

BLACK OXIDE + STONEWASH FINISH
The black oxide coating not only looks great, but it helps improve abrasion and corrosion resistance.
The stonewash finish provides a matte look that hides scratches, is low maintenance and preserves its original look over time.

OPERATION

Opening the Knife
To deploy the blade, apply forceful pressure on the flipper tab.

Closing the Knife
Push the lock arm over to the side so that it clears the base of the blade. Carefully rotate the blade into the closed position.

When will my order ship and how long will it take for delivery?

It is our goal to make sure your order is processed quickly and efficiently.

CONUS (48 States)

Generally, we attempt to ship orders placed before noon Monday-Friday on the same business day (Maximum 2 business days). However, at this time, we are experiencing longer than usual processing times. As such, most in stock orders will ship within 1-8 business days. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience and understanding. PLEASE NOTE: We ship on business days. Most orders placed after 11am on Friday will not begin processing until the following business day, Monday.

Please review the product page for the product(s) you have ordered, which will indicate the inventory availability status of the product. Products that are out of stock will be shipped automatically once we receive additional inventory. Products that ship from the manufacturer will be submitted for processing within one business day.

Safety Source ships orders using UPS or USPS, whichever provides the best delivery to you, unless expedited shipping is selected. The UPS Transit Time map below gives rough estimates on shipping times from our New York state warehouse. Please note that we cannot ship to P.O. Box addresses, so please provide a UPS deliverable shipping address to prevent delivery delays. The transit times shown are not guaranteed, but indicate expected ship times under normal conditions.

Do you ship to my country?

We do not ship internationally. We only ship to locations within the United States, Mexico and Canada. Due to distribution agreement's with our vendors, we're unable to ship to any freight forwarding companies.

Hawaii, Alaska, Canada and Mexico
